Reading We will continue to read Mr. Poppers Penguins. We will continue writing in our
Reading Response Journal this week. Please refer to the directions glued to the inside cover of
your students journal if needed and help your child include details, answering a different type of
question each week. We will be reading about Mary Mcleod Bethune.
Vocabulary In place of spelling the students will be learning vocabulary words and their
corresponding definitions. The vocabulary words are glued into their agenda. There will be a
vocabulary test on Friday covering the first 5 words on the list.
Writing The students will continue learning Note Taking skills and research skills. They will
continue using the Atlases (thank you) to research continents.
Math We will be finishing Module 13 and there will be a Module 13 quiz on Thursday. Then we
will begin Module 14.
Science We will be learning about animal and plant adaptations. Also, students should start
working on the research portion of their individual Diorama at home projects.
Social Studies We will continue to learn about Mary Mcleod Bethune.
