MOBILIZATION CONSTRUCTION NOTICE

Written communication issued to the Construction manager (CM) by the Owner directing the commencement of
construction.

PREREQUISITES

Complete a Pre-construction Meeting, which addresses working conditions, lines of communications and other
procedural requirements for administration of the project.
Permits as applicable to the scope of work.
Certificates of insurance
Performance and payment bond

PROCESS

OACR completes a Pre-construction Meeting with CM and other appropriate parties to the project.
Contract Administration confirms that appropriate insurance and bonds are valid and in-place.
OACR confirms with Design Consultant that all required permits are in-place.
Contract Administration issues a Notice to Proceed (NTP) Letter to the CM. The OACR is also provided with a
copy of the letter.

Notice to Proceed letter will state date for commencement of Work and list all referenced design
documents associated with required Work; Construction Drawings and Specifications, Addendums, and
indicate author of document (Architect/Engineer of Record) and date of document publication.
Notice to Proceed letter will not include authorization to amend Contractors Contract regarding scope or
compensation.

5. CM mobilizes to the project site following receipt of the NTP Letter.
