Spelling Words

January Birthdays

In Phonics we will lear about Long I and Short i. When a

word has the vowel i followed by an e at the end, the i says
its name and makes a long vowel sound. The word has a
short vowel sound most of the time when there is only one
vowel i, like in the word chip .
