    In version 7.1 of Odoo, the recommended way to register a report is to use only the <report> XML tag. The tag can now support an additional parser attribute specifying a custom report parser class. This deprecates manually instantiating report classes in Python modules to make all reports visible in the database and have a single declaration method.
