Silk road

LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE SILK ROAD CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE

ENERGY CRISIS THE WORLD HAS TODAY

What is the Silk Road? The Silk Road was an

international trade route between china and the
Mediterranean.
Some things that were traded were silk, from the
Chinese and glass and pottery from the Romans and
horses and cotton from the Indians

What is the energy crisis? The natural gas and oil are getting very
pricy because there is a limited recourse.

The ideas of the silk road can help solve the

energy crisis by sharing ideas.

A big thing that was happening in the silk road was cultural
diffusion, which is basically like the spreading of ideas

So if someone had an idea to spread about saving

energy, they could tell a few people and it would
spread to a few more people and so on.

Energy saving
ideas
One energy saving idea is
to get rid of your washer
and dryer and hand wash
and hand dry your clothes

If everyone spread the idea not to have a washer or

dryer, towns would be saving a lot of electricity.

Another energy
saving
idea
is
Tidal power
works
tidal
by
using
power.
large

underwater
turbines like
underwater
windmills. Tidal
power could be
used for 20% of
Brittan's
needs("Energy

Power."Energy

Almost
everyone can
use it.
As you can see most of our
earth is covered in water,
so its very easy to have a
lot of tidal power turbines

There are many

ways to save
there
are around 7.125
energy
billion people in the world.
If each of these people did
3 things a day to save
energy that would be
twenty-one billion three
hundred seventy-five
million things happening a
day in effort to conserve
energy

In Conclusion
Our earth is an amazing recourse and if
we adapt the ideas of the Silk road we
can help share ideas to save energy
and solve the energy crisis
