1. Obtainallmaterialslistedinthematerialslist.

5. Putthefirstsampleintothegraduatedcylinderofwater.
6. Measurethenewvolumeandrecordthedata.
7. Calculatethemetalsvolumebysubtractingtheinitialvolumeofthewaterfromthemeasured
finalvolumeofthewaterthathadthemetalsubmergedwithin.
8. Recordyourdata.
9. Placethefirstsampleonthescale.

Conclusion
Inconclusion,partofourhypothesiswascorrectandpartwasincorrect.Metal1wasindeedaluminum,
althoughmetal2andthreewerenotwhatwehadpredicted.Metal2wasTinbutwehadwrongly
predictedsteel.Metal3wasLeadandwehadwronglypredictediron.Possibleerrorsinthislabmay
includeerrorsinreadingthevolumes,errorsincalculations,orerrorsindocumentationandorganization
ofmeasurements.
