(3 DAY RETREAT)
I.

GASA SA GUGMA: Home for the dying desputes at Mabolo Cebu City.\
On December 26th of 2014, I went there together with my
high school classmates. We were invited by our dearest
adviser to take part in helping the charity. We went there
and held a short program for the Lolos and Lolas to have
fun, we gave donations which would be of big help for
them. As for me I donated disposable diapers. We also
spoon feeded them because most of them arent capable of
eating by themselves. I enjoyed sharing conversations with
each one of them, they shared to me their past experiences
of why when and how were they brought here. They are
truly inspiring, they also shared how they were longing for
their sons and daughters and that they still love them in

spite of what they have done

FEEDING PROGRAM: Feed the hunger and thirst.
On December 28th of 2014, I held a feeding program that
encompasses the street children in our community. With the
assistance of my cousin, we all gathered them at our small
chapel and conducted a short fun filling activities for the kids,
after that we distributed sandwiches, bihon and juice for their
snacks. All the children enjoyed eating and playing and so did I.

II. I was able to go through the experience with

conviction and with the help and support of my
beloved friends and family. . It was surely a
wonderful experience being with the Lolos and Lolas, for they showed me how a parent
loves their child deeply, they taught me to love unconditionally. I never thought how this
activity moved me this big, and taught me so many lessons and values. I realized how
blessed I am with what I have and I am thankful that I made something for the street
children.
III.

Yes, there was. Before any of the sad activities were done, we always prayed, God
granted us peace and guidance. I also asked for Gods help in making this retreat and
humbly God answered my prayers and gave me this idea of participating in the charity
and feeding the street children. Indeed I can say that God works within me.

IV.

I have plans to continue in supporting the charity and joining in much bigger
community outreach programs to help a lot of people, share what I have experience and
invite my families and relatives to join too.
