THE GAME OF DOONS

Characters
Granny, a loving old woman who knows the passion of the game.
Geppetto, a very wise old man who has a very good conscience.
Setting: The play takes place in a soccer stadium. On a nice morning in the spring time. In Brazil.
It is the final game for the World Cup.
Act I, Scene I
The opening ceremonies with Snow White singing the national anthem. And the two
commentaries up above in the sky blimp.
GRANNY
(Holding on to the mic.)
Welcome ladies and gentlemen we are all here to enjoy the beautiful game of soccer and to see
who the winner will be in the game. And I will be giving a special treat for everyone close to the
end of the game.
GEPPETTO
Granny, you are right we are all here to enjoy the beautiful game of soccer. The contestants for
this match will be the two most well-known teams favored to win the World Cup. The two teams
fighting for victory are starting on the left side of the field is the TOONS!
(Crowd goes WILD)

On the right side of the field

(Crowd cheering dies down)
We have DISNEY!!!
(Crowd goes WILD AGAIN)
GRANNY
(The game will be starting in 15 minutes)
Hahaha well the crowd is excited for this match.
GEPPETTO
Yes, we sold all the tickets and the max capacity is 450,000 people. And just remember ladies
and gentlemen stop by the concessions to get some food.
GRANNY
Yall better go down and get some food! Now let us head to the big screen and see what is going
on in the crowd.
GEPPETTO
OOOHHH! Well you look at that gentleman We got them fat kids pumpedupon
churros!

GRANNY
Hahaha yes so true!! Anyways lets get back to the game, oohhh and look we got the captains on
each side coming down to the referees to see who gets the kick off.
GEPPETTO
Now we see the referee talking to the captains. You can see the coin in the air as the referee flicks
it into the air
(The crowd is quiet as the suspension builds up).
GRANNY
We have the confirmation from the referee that the Toons will be kicking off!
Act 1, scene II
GEPPETTO
Now the starting lineup for team Disney.
Starting as keeper we have Tarzan. He may need to cover up, but hes got mad skills in the box.
For the defense starting on left will be Peter Pan. He may get help from his shadow, but the
referees cant tell its too dark.
Staring as our center backs we have Timon and Pumba. These two may tackle hyenas pretty well,
but lets see how they tackle this team.
Last but not least. On the right side we have Baloo Bear. He may look intimidating, but a big
team player, a reeeeaaallllyyy big team player.

GRANNY
For the center midfielder we have Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck. Three of the best
team players that work well together. Theyve been through thick and thin. Mano y mano. The
three musketeers!
For the forwards we have in the center Experiment 626 also known as Stitch! The Alien who
knows how to keep ohana. On his left we have Beast. One of the scariest members on the team.
On the right Tigger, spelled T-I-double Ga-RRR.
GEPPETTO
That is one strong lineup lets see how the Toons deal with that lineup.
Starting as the goal keeper we have someone who can cause up much damage, but when it comes
to stopping things you cant be better than him. The Tasmanian Devil also known as Taz.
On the left side of the field we have Sylvester. Although he might have trouble, making friends
with Tweety bird.
As the center defenders we have Marvin the Martian, and Wile E. Coyote. These two have
played for the national soccer team for five years.
On the right side starting will be Tina Duck, there might be tension on the field because Daffy
Duck is marrying Tina and doesnt want her to get hurt.
GRANNY

Starting in the center midfield we have Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Lola. These three live
together and have been on wild adventures together since day one.
On the left side for the midfield we have Tweety Bird, he may be small but once he is off on the
field he is the toughest person there is.
On the right we have speedy Gonzales, he maybe small but he is the fastest mouse in all of
Mexico.
And for their starter for the forward is the road runner, now I think the Disney team may have a
hard time keeping up with him but as long as Tarzan is in goal he might make it an even game.
GEPPETTO
Now we have the starting whistle signaling the final match for the best cartoon cup. And we are
off.
Act I, Scene III
GRANNY
As the Toons start off we have Road runner making the pass with Daffy Duck in the center
making its way to Bugs Bunny. He takes the ball down the line and is looking for the pass but
Disneys team member Mickey Mouse has stolen the ball and passes it to the forward stitch,
which he then holds on to the ball waiting for his team to catch up to him, he passes the ball to
Tigger and now he is taking the ball down the line and takes it to the corner flag where he
crosses it to the middle of the box where Beast and Stitch are located. As beast jumps into the air
to get the ball. Beast missed the in the air, but with stitch there, he climbs on top of him and

chests the ball down to where Mickey Mouse is and as he takes the shot it is traveling towards
the top corner of the net.
(Crowd goes wild)
It gets blocked by the keeper Taz but as he falls down from saving the ball he drops it making it
so that Disney has a corner kick.
As Disney lines up to take the corner kick, Taz spits to his team to mark a player.
GEPPETTO
The crowd has quieted down to the results of the corner kick
(Everyone waiting for the play to happen)
He kicks it! What is this? It seems that they have missed, but Speedy Gonzales has and is taking
it down the field. He passes it to Road Runner. Disney is not in a good situation right now, but
whats this! Pumba comes out of nowhere and rams him with his tusks. WOW! I will be
surprised if that is not a card.
GRANNY
The whistle is blown, and its not a card! Just a warning by the referee. Wow the toon fans are
very upset that there was no card given only a foul. Now we see Bugs Bunny arguing with the
referee about it as Daffy duck is planning something as you can see on his face and make it look
like a happy accident.
GEPPETTO

There he goes OUCH! That has got to hurt. It seems that Pumba has tripped and fallen on
Timon. The Dynamic Duo is down, theyre down for the count.
GRANNY
You see the subs coming on now. Replacing Pumba is Mufasa just make sure scar isnt on the
field with him. Replacing Timon will be the future king Simba. Father and son here to kill it here
on the field.
Act II, scene 1
GRANNY
We have just gotten back from overtime, and now we go onto penalty kicks.
GEPPETTO
Although each team had multiple chances to score the players of the match would have to be the
keepers, because they have faced everything they have been given and still came out successful.
Now lets see how they do in the penalty shoot-out. And the first team to take the first kick will
be Disney. For their first kicker, Disney will be sending up Stitch, Beast, Tigger, Peter Pan,
Baloo Bear, Simba, Mufasa, Tarzan, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Mickey Mouse.
GRANNY
That is a great lineup to finish up the game, but the Toons have a better lineup. They are going to
have Road Runner, Speedy Gonzales, Tweety Bird, Sylvester, Tina Duck, Wile E. Coyote,
Marvin the Martian, Taz, Lola, Daffy Duck, and Bugs Bunny. Now we have Stitch coming up to

the box for the first penalty kick. We see him now he moves back as he is waiting for the ref. to
blow his whistle signaling the okay for him to shoot
(Its quiet as they wait for the whistle.)
Man that little creature is fast, he ran to the ball and when he kicked it, it went over the crossbar
and its a missed shot.
Act II, scene II
GEPPETTO
As we get down to the final two kickers the score is even with three missed shots and seven shots
in the net, I dont know how this happened but it did. As Mickey Mouse sets the ball down we
wait to see if he makes it or not. Wait whats this I think I see somebody running on the field
ooh snap its Granny she is running at the same time as Mickey Mouse whats this, she is going to
take it for him???........... OOOHHH NOOO!! NOOO she didnt she tackled down Mickey and it
looks like he is in a lot of pain.. We will be right back after this commercial.
