Parents Responsibilities

Since tutoring is free, the parents primary obligation is

to make provisions for the student to be in attendance
on a regular basis. Students will be removed from
tutoring for habitual tardiness or lateness.

Parents must supply transportation to and from the

JSU campus for children and pick up the child within
10 minutes after the tutoring session.

We encourage parents to continue to work with their

child at home. Especially in the upper grades, since all
the homework and studying required for success in
school cannot be completed in the one hour time
frame.

From Highway 21 North, turn onto University

Circle, across from the Houston Cole Library.
University Circle divides into Trustee Circle.
Take the RIGHT fork in the divide. Ramona
Wood Hall will be on your LEFT across the
street from Sparkman Hall and Ayers Hall.
We are located on the bottom floor of the
building. Ramona Wood faces the Quad.

Teaching/Learning
Center

It is important that students bring work and/or textbooks with them to all sessions. Our tutors cannot be
effective if they do not know what subjects and topics
your child is studying at school.
