Join the Randolph County Sheriffs Office The Randolph County Deputy Sheriffs Civil Service Commission will be conducting competitive examination testing for entry level Deputy Sheriff positions.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States and be
between the ages of 18 and 45 at the time of testing. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants should anticipate working weekends, holidays and revolving shifts.
Deputy Sheriffs are full time benefited positions with
competitive benefits, including retirement, medical insurance, vacation leave and sick leave.
Initial WV uncertified salary is $31,100.00 annually with an
increase to $35,465.00 annually upon WV certification and successful completion of a 1 year probationary period.
The testing process will be administered in two parts, the
physical ability testing and the written examination. Applicants presenting for the testing must present a valid State issued photo identification and be in acceptable physical condition to complete a 1.5 mile timed run, pushups and situps. Applicants that successfully complete the physical ability testing will be eligible to participate in the written examination.

Completed applications must be returned either in person or by mail to the Randolph County Clerks Office, located at 2 Randolph Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241. Applications must be received at the Clerks Office by close of business on Thursday, February 5, 2015.
Physical ability testing will be administered at the Elkins High
