BROWSER-a software that allows you to access the internet
SEARCH ENGINE-a program that allows you to find webpages
META TAG-a way for search engines
HTTP- allows you to access the World Wide Web

IP ADDRESS/NUMBER
DOMAIN NAME-part of a URL that tells you where, what, or who
the website belongs to
URL/URI-a series of numbers, letters, and symbols that represent
a website
WEBSITE- a collection of webpages
NETIQUETTE- the manners you should use on the internet
FIREWALL- a barrier between you and restricted data
COOKIE-a small piece of data a website will store about you if you
allow it
CLOUD STORAGE- storing data on the internet

NET NEUTRALITY-the idea of not allowing service providers to

ADWARE-software that shows you advertisements
VIRUS / MALWARE something a person can use to steal
information
DATA-MINING-searching through a lot
DENIAL OF SERVICE ATTACK- when too many computers are trying
to access a website and this shuts it down
PHARMING
PHISHING-trying to or succeeding at sealing someones private
information.
SPAM-a message or string of messages someone sends that are
useless
