Introduction
Warm up activity: Mystery Bag
The bag contains different items that relate to Asia, have
students pull the items out.
Body
Gathering prior knowledge Organise students in pairs using
a picture technique (find the person with the same picture).
Collaborative Groups:
Using either mind mapping program Spiderscribe or
Bubbl.us
Headings are: Traditions, Religion, Food, Industries,
Capitol Cities, Global Issues Countries and Other.
Screenshot the map for the project.
Introduce the final product:
Creating a virtual book called My World, Your World
individual project using the app. Book Creator available on the
Ipad. Also talk about Skype Buddies.
Have a play around, allow them to explore with the
app.
Input the map into the book
Conclusion
Activity: Asia Jigsaw Puzzle
Class Discussion: Generate class questions to ask Skype
Buddies in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Home Task: Students are to answer questions on their Skype
Buddy sheet in preparation for the next lesson.
