My Metacognitive Reflection Essay 3
1) My and Lindseys revised paper is better than our original because I believe that we
synthesized the poem and novel more thoroughly than we did initially and we thought of
other things to add to the analysis of the essay. We connected the poem and the novels
similar themes of ostracization and isolation better.
2) I connected the poem and the novel together more in context than originally. I also
thought of new points that I hadnt thought of before.
4) I think that my revised draft should receive an A because I followed the criteria left on the
essay we turned in and I think that with the word choice and further synthesis I made, it
sounds more academic and all around it just sounds less disjointed than it did before. I
related it all back to the thesis as well.
5) If I had the chance to write this essay again, I would further analyze the authors and see if
there were underlying parallels to their lives and observe if they related their novels or
poems to real life experiences.
