    Minutes of the PTA meeting!

    Present: Jane Fitch, Vicky McGrail, Tina Jameson, Rowan Woodward, Tracey Kidd, Richard
    Geary, Vicky Lack, Jenni Barker, Kathryn Bond, Majie Rajaby!
    Apologies: Janet Anderson!

    Meeting started with acceptance of the last meeting minutes of 17 November.!

    (1) Funding Requests!


    Tina has a list of requests, including:!
    English: digital cameras (300)!
    Science: EHD Bench meter (300)!
    Languages: books for library (200)!
    PE: 9 a side football goals (400)!
    PE: Rugby flags (80)!
    PE: Netball Posts (260)!
    PE: 2 additional indoor table tennis tables + external coaching (500)!
    We are in a position to be able to fund all these requests.!

    @Tina: will liaise with the Drama department about speakers (they were not ready to make
    a decision prior to Christmas)!
    @Tina: to go back to department heads and heads for bigger ideas!
    @Tina: to ask Waitrose how we can participate in their funding scheme!

    We have already committed funding to:!


    2 outdoor table tennis tables + equipment (1298)!
    Speaker for drama (approx 300)!
    350 towards an external PHSE speaker!

    @Tina + Rowan to attend next staff meeting to engage teachers further on 03 Feb.!
    Then send out a list of ideas to whole school and ask for them to vote.!

    (2) Feasibility of a large project!


    Canopy: Two quotes sent through for a canopy in two different locations - each is around 10,000!

    Gym: several sites looked at - best site may be that next to the car park. But we may not own this
    land? Several low-cost building options looked at. Probably looking at about 30,000. Could try to
    source funding eg. sponsorship. Is this too much to organise?!

    We still want to set up a donation page, but we want to launch it with a big idea, such as one of the
    options above.!

    @ Rowan: to set up a Gmail address for the PTA (as the one provided by the school is too
    cumbersome)!
