BOIL WATER NOTIFICATION

PORTIONS OF THE CITY OF CEDAR PARK WATER DISTRIBUTION
SYSTEM
Due to a water transmission main leak, the Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality (TCEQ) requires the water system to notify certain customers affected by low
water pressure to boil their water prior to consumption.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking,
cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The
water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In
lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable
source. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will
notify the media and update the Citys website, www.cedarparktexas.gov.
Provided the test results of the water are acceptable to the Texas Commission on
Environmental Quality, this boil water notice is anticipated to be lifted at approximately 6
a.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015. However, this may change so refer to the Citys
website for the most up to date information. www.cedarparktexas.gov
