Acute on Chronic Pain

You have been to the ER many times just to get pain medication.
Now that you have been referred to the Pain Clinic, you will have
to get all your pain medication from them. You will have a contract
with them, and will need to bring it with you when you come to the
ED.
We will do our best to help you with your problems, but this is the
last time you will get narcotic pain medicine from the ED. Please
keep your appointment on Friday the 20th of August. Even if you
miss your appointment, you will not be able to get narcotics
through the ED after this.
