    Bartholins Cyst

    A Bartholins cyst can get inflamed and turn into a boil. If it becomes a boil, it may need
    to be incised (lanced, cut open). After the doctor opens up the cyst, the doctor may pack it
    to keep the pus coming out.
    The abscess will need to be re-examined in 48 hours. Hot sitz baths: (shallow tub of hot
    water) as often during the day as you can manage will bring the blood to the area and
    keep the healing process moving more quickly.
