Reflections
This week we have been finding out about the three states of matter: solids, liquids and gases. We made gloop to prompt a discussion about solids and liquids. We explored the form of gas by blowing up balloons and blowing bubbles outside. We read Not-a-box
by Antoinette Portis and wrote about what we could turn our own boxes into. We also developed our I wonder questions for the
Inquiry wall.
Learning engagements:
Next week we will be focusing on:
Language - Students will be exploring speaking voices versus their
writing voice, learning about the gr sound, ir sound, and th sound,
and earning about using and writing the letter b versus the letter
d.
Maths - comparing and contrasting numbers, using a number line,
developing understanding of addition terminology.
Inquiry - Next week we will be going on our school trip to Little
Explorers. This will give us the opportunity to find out more about
using our senses, as well as developing our understanding of the form
of states of matter and manipulation of materials. In class we will be
exploring how matter changes through experiments.
