HELP Psychology Journal Club

HELP Psychology Journal Club aims to provide an avenue for enthusiastic students to discuss
the content and significance of research articles written by our Department of Psychology
lecturers and other Asian researchers. Students can also discuss articles on areas of interest
that are not offered as official courses in our department.
Club members will be formed into groups of three. Each week, two of the groups will give
a 10-minute presentation on their chosen article and facilitate a 10-minute discussion among
the club members. Club members will meet five times per semester at a fixed time/day.
The club meetings are hoped to promote critical evaluation of research, analytical thinking, and
public speaking skills among its members. Members who have fully participated in the club
meetings will receive a certificate of participation at the end of semester.

Application requirements:
- Passionate about Psychology
- Passed PSY 113 Psychology of Personal and Academic Development
- Able to work in small groups
- Willing to participate in active discussions

Note: We can only accommodate a maximum of 21 students per semester.
