Spelling Words/Vocabulary
1. On Friday we will have a spelling test and you need to know how to
correctly spell each word below. NO SENTENCES THIS WEEK.

SCIENCE
Log onto penbrooke45.weebly.com and go to the Science Weather and Climate
page. Click on the news report and watch it carefully (may need to watch a few
times as you complete your task).

TASK: Pick out the most important information from the news report and write
jot notes. You need to have at least eight (8) factual detailed jot notes.

MATH
1. Log onto Reflex Math and complete a minimum of thirty (30) minutes
practice of basic math facts fluency skills. Username: smnorris

2. For each question (a, b, c, d) write all the equations that are part of that fact
family. Then solve by saying what number the variable represents.
Example: 12 n = 8
12 - 8 = n
8 + n = 12
n + 8 = 12
n=4
a) 23 + n = 35

b) 51 r = 12

c) p 7 = 6

d) 9 x 4 = c

Also read for 20 minutes each evening and return your log sheet on Friday with at least 3 new
entries and parent signatures. If you forget your log sheet and/or night shift NO GYM on Friday.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not have access to the internet at home to do the Science and Math homework,
you can stay after school on Wednesday to complete and if needed use Thursday recess and lunch to
complete your homework.
