Professional Experience
Ackermann PR (Summer 2013)

Ackermann PR is a Top 100 PR Firm (as ranked

by the Council of PR Firms). Responsibilities as
an intern included writing and distributing news
releases and media materials, completing research
for clients, and event planning. My work included
the following clients: ORNL Federal Credit Union,
Feed Your Faith, Titanic and TechLaw. My business
development profiles led to a new client, StoneMill
Log & Timber Homes, Inc. This increased revenue
for the company by $5,000. My research also resulted
in a contract resign with Copper Cellar Family of
Restaurants.

Scripps Networks Interactive (2014)

Scripps Networks Interactive is a global media

company and the Leader in Lifestyle Media. The
company is behind the popular lifestyle networks
HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking
Channel, Travel Channel and Great American
Country. I updated and maintained the external
website daily to establish a consistent place for
consumers to achieve information. With research
and knowledge of the company, I matched speaking
opportunities with executives and established two
new speaking opportunities. I authored or updated
over 100 professional biographies. I oversaw the
social media accounts, tracked each account monthly
and monitored in times of crisis. I compiled media
coverage reports. Using Cision, I complied press
media lists resulting in media hits for the three
distinct DMAs.
