Sound

A string orchestra
instrumental plays
throughout which at
points sounds like a
door opening but then
turns into a screaming
sound.

The music in the opening

sequence creates a very tense
build up. At the end of the
clip we hear the sound
women screaming after the
three girls jump out of the
window. There is also the use
of diegetic sound when the
girls smash their toys.
There are three little girls in
a bedroom of a dated house
playing with old fashioned
dolls. The girls become
unnaturally in sync with
their movements after a
while. The scene is set in
high key lighting which
heavily contrasts with the
supernatural forces that
become apparent in the
scene.
