Egypt

What energy is Egypt known for ?

The energy that Egypt is known for is
crude oil and natural gas. They have
the most amount of crude oil in Africa,
but for natural gas they are second
country in Africa that have the most
amount of natural gas.

How is oil harnessed ?

Its harnessed after animals (marine life) and
plants (seaweed) die in the sea. Then they
are then covered with layers of crude oil and
petroleum. After the heat and pressure of
the sun hits the crude oil its then turned to
oil that can be turned to energy. Then the oil
is stored in special barrels that are then
transported to oil factories that turn it to
energy.

pros

Oil

Easy to use
Doesnt use new
technology
Easy to transport
Moves our vehicles
Used most of the time
Can be used for
emergency
easy to store

cons

Non-renewable
It pollutes the country
Expensive
Dangerous
If you touch crude oil
it rips your blood cells
Workers risk there life
to collect it

Oil
Cause

Effect

Drilling causes oil

spills
Oil becomes
expensive
Country finds more oil
Country uses more
than needed

Oil spoils creates

explosions
Countries have to pay
more
Creates more factories
that create pollution
Increases chance of oil
running out

Natural Gas
Its harnessed in a way a bit similar to
oil. but except it uses chemical bonds.
After animals poop there waste is
buried underground. But plants dont
poop but they die so after they die
they are also buried underground, later
when they are burnt they are stored in
chemical bonds that are then
collected, transported to factories and
turned to energy.

Natural Gas

pros
Its natural
It use 60%-90%
less smoke
It burns In a clean
way
Its easy to find

cons
CONS

Increases the chance of

global warming

Its non-renewable

Its too expensive

People have to use lots

of space

Natural Gas
Cause
Country burns Natural
Gas
Farmers use space to
plant
Farmers plant
More natural gas

Effect
Increases chance of
global warming
Country runs out of
space
Makes life easier for
them
Cheap for the country
