From Script To Screen


The three components I pulled out the box were, contortionist, morgue and vending
machine.
Premise
The regrets of an ambitious father who loses sight of what's most important in his life.
The logline
The story is about a career driven father, who puts his heart and soul in his chase for
success and wealth. His extreme ambition, partnered up with an extremely demanding
job, eventually catches up to him. Leading to his death!

From Script To Screen


The step outline
Scene 1: The office
A, very well dressed, business man walks in his office, in need of something that will wake him up for
the beginning of his day. He casually makes his way to his own vending machine, on the other side of
his, to makes his selection of energy booster. He select a warm cup of coffee to start his day off.
Immediately after he takes his first slarp, he gets a heart attack and drops dead on his office floor.
Scene 2: Vision of his daughter
As he falls to the ground, instant regret overwhelms him. He gets a flashback of his daughter, (the
contortionist dancer) having a very important dancing audition. He watches her dance for the last time
and a tear drops from his face.
Scene 3: The morgue
His lifeless corpse gets wheeled into the morgue and his body gets placed on a cold surfaced table. The
gets left alone in that dark room, and the lights get cut.
