4. Pens & pencils
5. Scratch paper
6. A GOOD IMAGINATION!

TERMS USED

imagination. He/She tells the story to the players, the players make
choices based on what theyre told & the GM tells them the outcome.

Wisdom, Personality, & Health Points.

skills, & skillsets. You start with 175.

DICE ROLL REFERENCES

1d4: the 1 refers to the number of dice rolled, the d means DICE, & the
4 means that it will be a 4 sided dice, so in this case, you would roll a 4
sided dice once.
1d6+4: same as above applies, only this time, you add 4 to the result.
2d4: this means that you need to roll TWO 4 sided dice.

STEPS TO CREATING A CHARACTER

1. Roll for your Attribute Scores, fill in the appropriate fields on your
Character Sheet.
Attributes are your basic abilities, the core of what your
character is, they determine everything from how much you can
lift, to the bonuses applied to skills & abilities.
2. Select, or roll for a race.
Your Race is NOT just a superficial choice, they severely affect
your Attribute Scores, How youre treated by NPCs & what youre
particularly good at.
3. Select, or roll for a class.
A Class is a broad Designation of a type of person, Warrior,
Arcane Mage, Divine Mage, Rouge, & Psion. They ARE NOT like
standard D&D or Pathfinder Classes where you are limited to a
particular set of skills, they cover a broad range of skillsets.
Classes have Abilities that can ONLY be used by members of that
class, & unique skills as well. YOU ARE NEVER LIMITED TO ANY
ONE CLASS! (But it is recommended that you take at most 2, so
that you can unlock a Legacy skillset near end-game.
4. Select or roll for a skillset.
A skillset is SORT OF like a traditional class in most RPGs, it is
what determines most of your skills and abilities, (excepting your
general ones & class ones) & gives you a general idea of what
your character might do in their off time, YOU ARE NEVER
LIMITED TO 1 SKILLSET, however, you may only have 9 at most
at any one time! (Thats 8 normal, & one Legacy) Concerning
Legacy Skillsets, a Legacy Skillset is unlocked by acquiring ALL of
the Skillsets of 2 particular classes, it wipes out ALL your other
skillsets, (with no refund, what jerk came up with THAT idea?!)
but gives you a VERY powerful combo one instead, (thus, we
suggest (using the royal WE here) that you only unlock a legacy
skillset when you have A LOT of Skability points built up.) it
combines the best of ALL of the 2 classes skillsets into one
package, (you may acquire MORE skillsets after you unlock a

legacy skillset, but MAY ONLY HAVE ONE LEGACY SKILLSET AT A

TIME!)
5. Select, or roll for your skills.
Skills are what your character is good at, you Buy them with
Skability points, then upgrade them with more! (More on this
later) Skills can cost anywhere from 3-20 Skability points,
depending on their level of difficulty, the rareness of teachers, &
my general meanness.
6. Select, or roll for your abilities
Abilities are special things that your character can do, you select
these from a pool of your, General Abilities, Class Abilities &
Skillset Abilities. Abilities have ranks the same as Skills do, for
example, you might be able to disarm the by smashing down on
their sword in a particular way that you learned from an ancient
sword master, & at the next rank your chances of it being
successful go up. The list goes on.
7. Apply skability points, & attribute modifiers.
Here is where you apply all of your left over skability points to
get extra ranks in skills & abilities, Skills & abilities cost the
initial cost to rank up (rounded up of course) & give you varying
bonuses every time you rank them up.
8. Decide your Background
You now need to flesh out your character (yes this usually comes
last, just shut up, there is a good reason) Your GM might assign
one to you, but generally you can choose your own. Regardless
you need to come up with a believable backstory, (AMNESIA
DOES NOT COUNT!!) & a personality to fit your character.
9. Determine your starting wealth
Each Race has a different Base Wealth, & each Skillset has a
different additional wealth, to get your starting wealth, you add
the 2 together, then add or subtract whatever your GM deems
appropriate for your characters background. (See? Told you youd
need it)
10.
Purchase Equipment.
Here you turn to the Equipment Page, & select up to (but not
over) your starting wealth in equipment, weapons, armor, shiny
stuff, etc.
11.
Determine Armor & weapon stats.
This ones REAL SIMPLE, you read it off of the equipment page,
then modify it based on your characters stats, then write it on
your character sheet. (See? I lied, I do that.)
