Features of modern fax machines

As you requested, I have prepared a list giving 5 features of modern fax machines and
how these features would be useful for our company. Modern fax machines are quite
different from their predecessors in terms of sophisticated features, capabilities and the
cost of manufacturing.
a)

Dual access This feature allows the transmitting of a fax while printing
incoming documents from the memory. This will increase efficiency within
the organization as we will be able to perform these two tasks simultaneously.

b)

Multi-function Device or MFD This function is found on the most

sophisticated fax machines. These serve as phone, scanner, copier and printer.
This feature allows for quick scanning which lessens the time needed to scan
the original document making the machine more efficient. It also allows
faxing through the computer.

c)

Paper feed mechanism This feature makes it easy to send multi-page faxes
which are crucial in our busy office environment.

d)

Sending Speeds - Although the faster a fax machine sends data may mean
higher price, long term use may eventually save one from phone call
charges. Todays fax machine sending and receiving speeds can reach up to
36.6 kilobits per second or about one page in six to 10 seconds.

e)

Light Emitting Diode (LED) printing technology This offers the best print
quality due to the unique method of exposition and formation of latent image.
Offers high quality with high- speed output of images and text data. It offers
smaller dot size that ensures sharper and crisper text and graphics. The
accurate light sourcing, that gives better quality imaging.
