    1.0 WELCOMING SPEECH


    1.1 The chairperson welcomed all the committee members to the meeting.
    1.2 The chairperson called the meeting to order by informing all the members
    about the celebration
    of Merdeka Day.

    2.0 PASSING OF MINUTES OF THE FIRST ENGLISH LANGUAGE SOCIETY


    2.1 Passing of minutes of the first English Language Society has been proposed
    by Chia Chin Mei
    and seconded by Lee Suh Jeng.
    2.2 The committee unanimously accepted the minute of the first English
    Language Society meeting.

    3.0 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING


    3.1 With reference to 4.3 , the budget of the English Story Telling Competition
    has been adjusted

    from RM 400 to RM 750.


    3.2 Lecturers from Universiti Sains Malaysia were invited to be the judges of
    English Story
    Telling Competition.
    3.3 The venue of English Story Telling Competition has been set at Dewan Sri
    Melati.

    4.0 ACTIVITIES FOR THE MERDEKA DAY CELEBRATION

    4.1 Drawing and singing competition with the theme of patriotism have been
    suggested.
    4.2 Performances like traditional dances would be carrying out.
    4.3 The Merdeka Day Celebration would be bringing forward on 30th August
    2013.

    5.0 APPOINMENT OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS FOR THE MERDEKA DAY


    CELEBRATION
    5.1 All committee members were compulsory to attend the next meeting as
    facilitator would
    be coming. (wrong)

    6.0 ANY OTHER BUSINESS


    6.1 The programme of English Night was suggested to be hold after the Merdeka
    Day Celebration.

    7.0 CLOSING
    7.1 The chairperson thanked all for their cooperation. Meeting was adjourned at

    vote of thanks to the chairperson.
