BTH (missing Oskar, Niklas, Hillevi), Stanford, Martin

Trip Planning
o Move Copenhagen BTH Saturday night instead
o Switching to visiting Braas (headquarters) and ESK (manufacturing),
one day each
o Check with Mike from Volvo about where to stay that night
o Presentation in Volvo, Sweden work on presentation while at BTH but
prep an outline before to do rough presentation in Germany as well
o Any changes with Volvo plan need to be addressed within next two
weeks
BTH Darkhorse v1
o Summary of waste problem, horizontal space shared with trucks,
materials, and waste
o Hammock like solution for storage
o Picks up waste off the ground
o Telescoping pillars (1.5m-5m)
o Hammock made of fabric, carbon fiber weave
o Load low, lift up to drive underneath
o Transportable due to collapsing nature and triangular layout
o Feedback from BTH professor, telescoping pillars could be used for 3D
printing houses
o Will look into calculations for next week darkhouse v2
Suggestion to actually build something next week, learn a lot
this way

o Address Money Issue

Stanford Darkhorse v1
o Concept was collapsible, transportable, and small footprint
o Cardboard square model to start but saw lots of sagging, added
supports but still had issues
o Switched to a cylindrical design with wire mesh into a tulip share with
steel poles and rigid support members
o Built this design at 4 scale, super transportable
o Set up went really well and so did filling base with dirt
o Top didnt support dirt at all, need more supports, collapsed before full
o Learned a lot about the placement of the dirt as well, needs to be
perfectly centered
o Footprint 2 5 when not in our dirt mushroom
o Time lapse video
o Possibly planning on building silo version for next week
