INSTALL DEVELOPEMANT ENVIREMENT

AND PROGRAMING INSRTUCTIONS


Windows XP virtual machine configuration
1. Install VMware Player (you can download VMware Player from the VMware Web site at
www.vmware.com/download/player/. See Installing VMware Player on page 4.)
2. Unpack "blankOS.zip" archive.
3. Start VMware player,
a. click on "Open a Virtual Machine",
b. navigate and load an unpacked OS image (Windows XP Professional.vmx).
4. Click on "edit virtual machine settings", a new window will open (Virtual machine
settings).

5. Currently you are on memory device, hardware tab.


a. specify the amount of RAM memory of your host machine that will be allocated
to virtual machine, according to your computer's capabilities.
6. Click on network adapter Device. click on Host-only (right side of window).
7. click on "Options" Tab.
8. click on Shared folders.
a. "Always enabled" needs to be checked.
b. click on Add->next->Browse. Navigate to a host path which will be shared
between host achine and virtual machine.
c. ->next->check "Enable this share"->Finish.
d. Check "Map as network drive in Windows guests".

1. click "OK" button. "Virtual machine settings" window will close.


2. click "Play virtual machine".
3. click Copied it

9. Virtual machine will boot. Wait until desktop image appears.

10.click on start, right click on "My Computer" icon. Click on Map Network drive.
11.click on Browse, then navigate to aimed host shared folder (under "VMware Shared
Folders"). Click "OK".

12.check "Reconnect at logon" field. click on "Finish". Now you can access a host folder
from virtual machine - it is mapped as being a network drive device.
Note: when finished working, perform regular Operative System shutdown. When it shuts
down, you can close VMware application.
