Narsapur Municipality is a 1st Grade Municipality situated by the side of River

Vasista Godavari. The Municipality is having a River belt of 5 Km in Municipal Limits. The
River Godavari joins Bay of Bengal at Antharvedi 6 Kms downstream of Narsapur Town, where
Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is being worshipped.

Godavari Pushkarams takes place once in every 12 Years. Last time Godavari
Pushkarams were celebrated in the Year 2003. This year Godavari Pushkarams will be
celebrated during the period from 14th to 25th of July 2015. These Pushkarams will be
celebrated as Maha Pushkarams since they are happening in 144 Years. It is expected that a
minimum of 1 Lakh Pilgrims per day will visit the town during the Pushkarams for performing
their rituals. Hence,

elaborate arrangements shall be made by the ULB for comfortable stay of

the pilgrims.
In view of the above, Government vide G.O RT No. 32 MA & UD Dated : 17-01-2015
has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 40.46 Crores to Narsapur Municipality for taking up various
developmental works like Water supply, Traffic Management, Street Lighting, Town Roads,
Cross Drainage Structures and Other Works etc.,. Accordingly, the Municipal Council Narsapur
has decided to improve all the roads leading to Puskhar ghats and all main roads of the town
which includes the existing road from Bhagavan raju C.C road to blind School in 23 rd & 24th
wards, being one of the important roads. The Municipal Council Narsapur vide its CR No.

has resolved to provide SDBC surface the existing road from Bhagavan raju C.C

road to blind School in 23rd & 24th wards Accordingly, an estimate is prepared for Providing
S.D.B.C surface to the existing road from Bhagavan raju C.C road to blind School in 23 rd &
24th wards at an estimated cost of Rs. 46.81 Lakhs with the following specifications.

1. Providing B.M 50mm thick.

2. Providing SDBC 25mm thick.

The estimate is prepared with the rates of Current SSR for the year 2014-15 and work will
be executed as per the specifications contained in APDSS.
