Radio Trails Analysis - Kirtan

Target audience

16-18 year olds since this includes extracts from


teachers and students from a college

Tone of voice?

Its quite a serious tone, not too serious but a bit serious,
this relates to the topic of the documentary.

Sound effects?

BBC Radio 1 slogan/Title soundtrack to establish the


Radio channel.

Wildtrack/ambient
sound?

You cant really hear the ambient sound too much


because of the music and the volume of the voiceover.

Use of music?

There is music present within the trailer throughout the


whole thing, this isnt too overbearing as you can hear
the voiceover and the extracts from the documentary
itself.
Theres only one soundtrack throughout the whole thing

Length?

The sound levels are consistent for most of the trailer,


the voiceover is a little bit loud, but not too loud that its
overbearing.
The whole thing is 44 second long, but excluding the
BBC Radio 1 slogan, its 38 seconds long.

Other notes/common It starts off with a few extracts from the documentary
elements/convention itself. Theres not as much as a voiceover due to the
extracts. They include the BBC radio 1 title soundtrack.
