We will be sending home Newsletters to keep you informed
about our themes and activities. We will also be sending home monthly activity calendars. These activities are not required! They are just suggestions for parents. Please feel free to modify activities, or just pick those that you like best. To help your child learn at home the two best things you can do are read to him/her and allow him/her time to play. We are using the Little Treasures curriculum in our RECC this year. Little Treasures has 10 units. The Units are broken down into themes. Our first Unit will be Who Are We. The themes for this unit include: My New School All About Me Look How Im Growing We will be reading: Hurray for Pre-K by Ellen B. Senisi Eyes, Nose, Fingers, Toes by Judy Hindley ABC I Like Me by Nancy Carlson And many more books! Our Nursery Rhymes will include: Mary Had A Little Lamb Wee Willie Winkie The Knee-High Man We will also be Learning our classroom schedule Learning about classroom rules Meeting our new friends Singing the ABC song Learning about our 5 senses and our body and other activities that focus on getting to know our teachers, friends, and classroom expectations
