Starting this school year of 2013-2014, Plymouth Whitemarsh High School students will need to obtain
an ID badge at all times in order to identify themselves as a PW high school student from 7:35AM to 2:20 PM.
According to the Plymouth Whitemarsh Student Handbook,
Staff members can check students at any time during the school day.
ID badges were handed out on the first day of school to all of the PW students and
faculty; as well as administration and visitors.
The badges are replacing the ID numbers used by the students in the past years.
Now in order to check out a book in the library, students must have their badge; as well
as checking out equipment in the library media center.
In the cafeteria instead of typing in an ID number, PW students just swipe their ID cards in the lunch
line. This increases the speed of the lines, helping students receive their lunches even faster.
At any school sponsored event such as dances, games, fundraisers, and spirit week the
new ID badges are a necessity to attend.
If a student is in need of a replacing their ID badge, it must be purchased with Mrs. Shwartz in room 202.
The first card will cost five dollars, second will then cost ten dollars, and the third will cost$15 and every card
in need of replacing after.
