SAN YSIDRO HIGH SCHOOL STATEMENT

SAN DIEGO (January 30, 2015) The following statement is in response to the bomb threats
made against San Ysidro High School:
Dear Parents/ Guardians:
I wanted to provide this update on the bomb threats targeted at San Ysidro High School.
Although all threats to date have been "low level" status, rest assured we take them seriously
and take all precautions necessary to protect our students, staff and community.
I , along with Interim Superintendent Glover, and Councilmember David Alvarez, met with San
Diego Police Officials, including Southern Division Captain Mark Hanten, yesterday, January
30, to discuss the ongoing police investigation and request the assistance of other agencies that
have the necessary means to facilitate the gathering of information.
Rest assured that the Sweetwater Union High School District, San Ysidro High School and the
San Diego Police will take whatever legal means necessary to identify, apprehend and prosecute
the person or persons responsible for these acts.
Principal Hector Espinoza
San Ysidro High School
