Volunteers!
On Wednesday, February 4th from 10:15-11:15am, we have an opportunity
available for some Magical Math activities with our class, and Friday, February 28th at
3:15pm, we welcome anyone who would like to come in and read a story to the class.
February is a very busy month, so please keep your eyes on upcoming newsletters for
more volunteer opportunities. As always, spaces will be filled on a first come, first
served basis. Thank you!

100 Days, 100 Things

Every morning during circle, we count the number
of days we have been at school. As it turns out, the
100th day of school is rapidly approaching! On
Wednesday, February 11, we will be celebrating
the 100th day! In celebration, everything we do that
day will revolve around the number 100. Keeping
with the theme, we would appreciate it if you could
please send your child to school with 100
small things they can carry with them safely,
or can fit in their knapsack. These items need
to be non-edible and something that can be shared
with friends for a very special show and tell. We are
very excited for the 100th day and thank you in
advance for your help and cooperation!

Pink Shirts to Take a Stand

On Wednesday, February 25th, we will be
having a Pink Shirt Anti-Bullying Day. Please
send your child to school in a pink shirt to
help spread awareness about anti-bullying. This is
something we will be discussing in our classroom,
and might be something you want to discuss with
your child at home as well.

Be Mine, Valentine?
Valentines Day is a very exciting time in our
classroom, and we will be celebrating it on
Thursday, February 12. We will be having a
dance to celebrate this day of love, so please
send your child to school with $2.00 in order to
wear something red or pink.
As well, please remember that if you are planning
on sending in treats for the class, we have a nonedible policy at school. Pencils, erasers,
temporary tattoos and stickers are great options
as alternatives. Should you wish to send in
cupcakes or cookies for the class, please speak to
one of the teachers first, and remember they
need to be ordered through Roo Foods (Chef
Scott), as he is the school-approved caterer.
If your child would like to bring in Valentines for
the class, it might be helpful to send them in
unnamed so there isnt any confusion as to which
card goes to which child. We have 18 children in
our class, and if youd like to name each card and
have misplaced your class list, please let us know
and we can send home another one. Thank you
