YEAR 11 REVISION EVENING - THURSDAY 12TH FEBRUARY 6.00PM - 7.30 PM
This is a demanding and very important year for all our Year 11 learners. Their examination courses
require consistent effort, commitment and a great deal of self-organisation, while in addition this is also
a year in which they will have to take some key decisions about their future.
We would, therefore, like to invite you to the Year 11 Revision Evening on Thursday 12th February 2015
at 6.00pm - 7.30pm, at which we shall look at the next few months ahead.
During the evening we will give you detailed information concerning:

External examinations.
Controlled Assessment and Coursework information, which will include a calendar for final
deadline dates.
Advice and guidance to support your son/daughter as they make decisions on their next stage
of learning at Darton College.

This is a crucial meeting for finding out how to work with the school to support your son/daughter over
the next few months, in the run up to their exams. On the evening you will also get the chance to meet,
and discuss, effective revision with various Curriculum Team Leaders. There will also be a selection of
revision guides available for purchase on the evening.
You will obviously be aware of how important it is for your son/daughter to attend school every day at
this vital time. In addition to this we therefore hope that you will continue to ensure your son/daughter
aims for 100% attendance for the rest of year 11, which we hope will be their most successful school
year.
