Date: February 2015 Course: ED 422 Rationale: I have included this writing rubric under Standard 4. This rubric belongs under Standard 4 because I understand the central concepts; tools of inquiry, and structures of the discipline that I am teaching and creating learning experiences that make the discipline accessible and meaningful for learners to assure mastery of the content. I used this writing rubric for my students to teach them how to score their own writing after they have written their project, and then for me to score them after. This will help teach my students what I am looking for in their writing and help them to think critically when they write about what needs to be included. As the students get more proficient with their writing and scoring themselves I will change the rubric to be a little more complicated and look for more precise items in their writing structure.
