THEORY X
Formulated by Fredrick Winslo Taylor
According to this theory workers are usually lazy and
have no interest in their work unless they are controlled.
Big brother with a baton should order or guide
Unless you see it wont be there.

Theory Y
According to this theory if the management satisfy the
basic needs of worker
They are self motivated persons
They think , its their duty to do job even if there is no
one to manage.
They feel happiness in their job

Theory Z
Theory Z is according to Japanese management
Long term employment
Consensual decision making
Holistic concern
In short, if conditions are good people will work, else
they will have the approach of what is in it for me

Theory I
Theory I is Indian theory
It is based on gandhism and Geetha

used.
The approach will be like if and only if you do this, you
will be provided with some benefit

This approach is used in situation where above two
approaches fails.
In this approach managers make workers doing their
work by giving their authority to workers
This approache can be applied to workers who seeks
authority

MANAGEMENT BY DIRECTION

This approach is used when all the above approaches


fails
This is a approach where management will have to take
strict decision and punishment
These approaches are taken to people who ae more
lazy by their character
