Softball Team Application
Each team applying for acceptance into the League does so in accordance with procedures
established by the League and the Riverhead Recreation Department.
The Team Application and Registration form is the only official document accepted as proof
of intention to field a team. All teams are admitted under the control of the Applicant unless
otherwise indicated on the Application Form. The controller is the person who will have
authority in deciding team matters (i.e.) practice, line-ups, player recruitment, etc., and may
defer this authority to others at his/her discretion.
The Softball leagues are independent organizations and as such are responsible for their
own organization with the assistance of the Riverhead Recreation Department. Each League
operates as part of the organized Recreation Program of the Town of Riverhead and with
Recreation Departments assistance, is required to recruit and pay necessary fees or
obligations to whomever and whenever necessary for its operation.
I have read the procedures for entering a team into the Riverhead Recreation Softball
League and wish to apply for entrance of the above. I agree, upon acceptance into the
League to abide by its rules, regulations and procedures and those established by the
Riverhead Recreation Department.
I hold the Riverhead Recreation Department responsible only for the actual playing season
as outlined in its rules, regulations and procedures.
