‘To Whom it May Concern,
Itis with pleasure that | highly recommend Erin Brewer for the position to which she is applying
within your organization. | have had the privilege of working alongside Erin in the roles of a fellow
teacher and as her supervisor. Throughout these shared experiences, | have witnessed her strengths
within the classroom, collaborating with her colleagues, and even supporting me as the department
head.
In the classroom setting, Erin demonstrates consistently high expectations, alongside
well-structured routines that both motivate and empower students to find success. Her students feel
valued and challenged to grow. One of her strengths within this setting is her ability to differentiate
within her class in order to meet the diverse needs of her students. Erin is known for thinking creatively
in these situations, instead of developing frustration toward the task of differentiation. Her students
respond well to the time and effort she invests in her classes, sometimes demonstrating their true
abilities in math for the first time due to her methods of engaging them in the learning process.
Collaboration is a skill that Erin has developed and even modeled within the Math department.
She is constantly ready to ask questions, share ideas, and accept constructive feedback regarding how
she can improve. Her knowledge of mathematics and willingness to try new strategies makes her a
positive force within the department. When time is set aside for teachers to meet together for planning
purposes, she is sure to enter the planning meeting with at least a mental schedule regarding how to
best utilize their time together.
Itis for these reasons that | strongly recommend Erin Brewer for the position within your
organization. She will quickly prove herself to be an invaluable member of your team, ready to
collaborate, meet a diversity of needs, and do so in a naturally driven manner. | am saddened to lose
her from our department, but eager to see where she will next use her skills to strengthen and foster a
community of learning.
Sincerely,
Adam J. W. Craig
