INTRODUCTION
The thoppur town is one of the major towns in tamilnadu
having a population of about 2,00,000. The town is in its dynamic
state of the growth and it is expecting strides in the industrial
development so our project will be a very effective for economic
development of the city
good communication system connecting with other part of
the cities by bus are also available in addition to relax and other
postal services. The above factor implies ta fact that the town is
gathered. The status of educational importance as well as the future
developing centre, so people are attracted from all over india
The factors discussed above signify the inflow of students to
the town hence there must be more educational institution in the
town to meet the need of people in and around the town. These all
factors made us to design a educational building economically.

ABSTRACT

Our project is the design of multystorey educational

building of all facilities. Mainly this project will save the land by
its OCTAGONAL SHAPE, due to this the whole place can be
used in a very effective manner. In this project we analyze the
structure using STAAD-Pro and design by manual calculation
referring to Limit State method
This building is designed by limit state method by using
IS 456-2000 codebook for R.C.C and using IS 800-1978
steel codebook, design aids SP 16, approximate plinth area of
the building 479 m22 and time of the completion of this
construction is one year.
our project can be builded with very economical with a
limited period of time This project will develop an educational
area of very good aesthetical view.

SCOPE OF PROJECT
Due to increase in population and scarcity of land we have
provided the shape of an octagon that will effectively
decrease the wastage of land
This effective structure will be very economical and also
have a very good aesthetical view which will attract the public
Design of building the groundfloor pluss two another floor
Concrete although behaviour is much cheaper and does
not involve maintenance expenditure.
