US college tennis: Simmering row over foreign players

This topic of American players getting disgusted over foreign players deals with the fact
that their coming over from different countries, which leaves hardly any room for
American players. This article represents globalization because it shows how much we
improved by letting foreign people come over and play our sports even though, some
people are not happy about it. Because of this, there are fewer outstanding American
players out there. People feel as if foreigners are taking over the spotlight. Since
American teams are getting more money to spend on their sports, they dont want to
use their money for the wrong reasons. Also the fact that anyone can go anywhere in
the world plays a big role since people from other counties are coming to America to do
what they love.

Strasser, Franz US college tennis: Simmering row over foreign players BBC News 24, February, 2011

The picture I chose has to do with terrorism is because it deals with the wanting of
social and political injustice which is mainly why it happens. People feel the need to
have to prove a point to obtain change for them and their people. They feel as if
violence will be effective and will help change, but with everything that is happening all
at once I feel as if it will only make things worse, and cause more violence. It is a very
global topic because people from other countries come together just to prove a point,
but they're hurting many people in the process. It is definitely a very negative effect of
globalization and can make people come off as weak.
