MANILA, Philippines Boxing analyst Teddy Atlas said Manny Pacquiao has been fighting for so long that it might
hurt the Filipino superstar when he faces unbeaten Chris Algieri.
He believes that Pacquiao is battle-scarred with 63 fights under his belt.
He said the 8-division boxing champion has been busy with several commitments outside boxing.
Aside from being a boxer, a congressman, and a preacher, Pacquiao also became a playing coach for a PBA team.
"It could be a tougher fight [for Pacquiao]. I mean, you don't know what Pacquiao's gonna be when he gets into the
ring. He's got a lot of problems, a lot of distractions, a lot of things around, he's made a lot of money, had a lot of
miles on the odometer, said Atlas in an interview with Fight Hype.
Algieri, on the other hand, is focused on one task and that is to challenge Pacquiao for the WBO welterweight belt.
Atlas admitted that the 510 American may be lacking when it comes to experience, but he said Algieri has hunger
and youth on his side.
He surprised everybody. He's an undefeated guy, he doesn't know how to lose, and he's got nothing to lose, he's got
legs, he's got youth. Who knows? He might pick Pacquiao on an off night and you never know, said Atlas.
