Overview:
Toprovide MDeC with aerial footage that can beusedtoidentifypossiblecauses
ofincreasedfloodsin7selectedareasinthestateofKelantan.
The project had the purpose of afactfindingmission to form thebasis of a long
term project to better understand possible reason forfloods inrecentyears.Itwill
helpusunderstandwhatareasinKelantantoconcentrateonforthemoredetailed
dataacquisitionandanalysistofollowinthenextprojectphase.

Description:
Aset of UAVs wasflown in each location creating severaltypesofhighdefinition
videofootage:

1. forwardfacingTVstylevideotogiveadynamicviewofeachlocation
2. downward facing (nadir) video footage showing a topdown overview of
eachlocation

Location: This project was deployed in Kelantan, in Peninsular Malaysia.

Specificallyinthefollowingtownsandvillages:

2. Bertam(temporaryinaccessibleduetocollapsedbridge)
3. Dabong
4. Lojing
5. Neggiri
6. Stong
7. KampungSatar

Weather andotheradverse conditions: weatherwasfineduringentiremissing.
Excepton3rddaywhenthewindpickedup.Butitdidnotaffectthework.

Project Duration: The project started during the 3rd week of Janaury and
required several trips to Kelantan during which the locations were scouted and
identified. Footage wastakenafterallpermits were obtained from the26thtothe
28thofJanuary.
