Campbell FLIP Team Meeting --- 1/27/14 at 8:15am

Celebrations:
-Phung has agreed to change PACT time times so that ESL class will work more
smoothly.
-Tram Kieu is a new full-time volunteer. She is very helpful!
-Kawther (former class member in 2013 and childcare para this year) has a full-time job
at the Park Middle School cafeteria!

Adult ELL: comments shared by Rik

-Going good!
-Attendance has been pretty good considering the cold weather.
-Beginning to work on our home country displays to share with the school community.
-Working on keyboarding and Ventures workbooks.

Parent Education Class:

-Preparing for Parent/Teacher Conferences (2/13 & 2/18)
-2/4 Laura Bartels LPS Instructional Technology Coach Internet Safety
-2/11 No class
-Peoples Health Center regarding Obamacare/Affordable Health Care
-Oscar Rios wants to come talk about liaison support during ParentEd per Susan.
Amy has not heard anything from him yet.

PACT Time:
-Made an adjustment so that ESL workbook groups were more homogeneous.
-Going well! according to a few teachers Amys spoken with.
-One teacher still has a complaint/concern about a parent on the cell phone. This will be
the 3rd time we discuss it with this parent. Amy will call or talk to her in person, again.

Childcare and Literacy:

2/13 & 2/18 Parent Teacher Conferences

Recruitment and Retention:

-2 open spots for FLIP
-Amy contacted Antonio to fill the spot with Maria Lazaro.
-Nhung has made a contact with a new ELL family. Waiting to hear if father or mother
are interested.
