I am writing you this letter in response to the opening for secondary social studies teacher,
which is my ultimate goal. I am eager to start my career in this field, and know that I have
a great deal to offer your school. I am enrolled in the TMATE program at Tarleton State
University, Southwest Metroplex Campus-Fort Worth. I am considered Highly Qualified as
a Grade 7-12 Social Studies Teacher.
My dual passion for history and education will take me far. The experience I bring as a
teacher aide with Special Education, specifically with autistic students, as well as teaching
college students demonstrates my background with diverse student populations. I have
experience developing curriculum, formative and summative assessment, and
differentiated instruction. As an Aide, there has been a wealth of experience gained in
areas such as behavioral intervention and differentiated instruction for high school
students. My students have taught me a great deal, and I am thankful for every day I get to
spend with them.
My qualifications and credentials for this position make me an excellent choice for this job.
