Triangles

By Duncan Yeung

Equilateral Triangles
Equilateral triangle is a triangle that
all the sides are the same and to
find the perimeter of it you have to
know at least one side of the
triangle by measuring it and than
multiply by 3 because it have three
sides. And for the area just the
base multiply the hight and divided
by 2 because when you multiply
the base and the hight it is a
square and if you divided by 2 you
will get half of a square that means
a triangle.

p=9x3
=27 cm

A=9x92
=4.5cm

Scalene Triangle
Scalene triangle is a triangle that
all the sides are different and to
find the perimeter you need to
measure all the sides and add
them all up.To find the area of it
you have to know the base and
the hight so than you do the same
thing as all the triangle, base
multiply the hight and divided by
two

12 cm

p=12+10+9 A=12x82
=31 cm
=48 cm

Isosceles Triangle
Isosceles triangle is a triangle
that is a triangle that have two
sides the same and to find out
the perimeter we need to at least
measure two sides the base and
one of the long side than you
multiply the side that is long by
two and than plus the bases
length. So to find the area same
with all the triangle base multiply
by the hight and than divided by
two.

Right Angled Triangle

Right angled triangle is a
triangle that have a 90 degree
angle. To find the perimeter of it
you need to measure all 3 of the
sides and than just add them all
up to find the perimeter of the
it.To find the area of it you need
to multiply the base by the hight
than divided by 2

the perimeter and area of
a triangle
