Recommendation Letter: Elizabeth Jones
Elizabeth Jones powerful ability to think critically and creatively continually generates an
incredible capacity for penetrating insightful intelligent judgment and sophisticated language
abilities. Ms. Jones not only successfully completed Advance Placement III Language &
Composition, and AP IV Literature & Composition, but scored 5s on both exams. The clarity
exhibited in making informed decisions and analyzing complex issues are hallmarks in her
development as an educated thinker. Elizabeth thrives on detecting words that herald the
precise conveyance of ideas and elaborative thought in order to form an intricate mosaic of
original unique written expression. Time is not relevant to the intensity or devotion to the project,
only the journey to discover, uncover, discern the inferences within the piece of text whether a
novel or newspaper commentary. Her comfort levels allow for long periods of contemplation or
intense discussion that excavates the writers intent, purpose, or design. Elizabeth pushes until she
can mentally verbalize and translate what the research has unveiled or unmasked. Few are
comfortable going beyond factual information to describe what is not currently known, Elizabeth
Jones comfort level is often motivated by ferreting out the unknown.

In addition, Elizabeth leads the Academic Society; No Place for Hate anti-bullying
campaign; campus blood drive; Coats for Kids; Principals Advisory Cabinet; and also
numerous volunteering opportunities within our community. Currently, Elizabeth has
completed twenty-four credit hours at Austin Community College while attending high
school full time.
Entering college initiates you into a community of people dedicated to learning, and each
discipline, or subject area, represents an organized effort to understand some significant
dimension of human experience. Elizabeth Jones will maximize choice pathways on her journey
forward, as her growth and maturity are the forerunners for a successful transition into college
and career. For Elizabeth it is the journey that is paramount, not the destination.
