Club Rules and Requirements
o Point System
You will need to get 20 points by the end of this year to be considered an official member
Every hour you volunteer, you will receive a point, and each meeting is a point
You may only use hours as credit for one organization
If you are unable to make it to an event, you must find a replacement and email us with their
name, or the amount of points that you would have received from that event will be deducted
from your total points.
o Chairs
Almost every event requires one chairperson to keep track of the volunteers
Chairs must keep a count of how many points each person who attends the event earns and, if
possible, take pictures of the event
Chairs must then email the point information and pictures to the Project Lead email WITHIN
ONE WEEK AFTER THE EVENT
Chairs must also stay after the meeting for further instruction
For their duties, chairs will earn double the amount of points

Available Events
Senior Living Bingo- Saturday January 31st and February 7th 1:00-2:30 PM
Volunteers will assist the Sunrise Senior Living Center with holding the bingo session
4 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED (INCLUDING CHAIRPERSON)
The address is 6870 Crooks Rd, just South of South Blvd on the East side of Crooks, across from
Kroger's and CVS
Welcome Night for 8th Graders: Tuesday February 3rd, 6:45-8:30
8 volunteers are needed to help Athens with welcoming the incoming 8th graders
A chairperson is also needed
Science Night at Hill Elementary: Thursday February 12th 5:30pm-8:00pm
Science Night is an event held at Hill where elementary kids and their parents perform various
experiments
The theme for the event this year is Chemistry
14 volunteers are needed to help run the experiments and also manage the check in
A chairperson is also needed
Volunteers need to arrive at 5:30 and stay till a little after 8:00pm
Environmental Club Recyclable Can Drive February 2nd 2:30-3:00
The Environmental Club is having a fundraiser with a recyclable can drive in the Hill and Larson
subdivisions.
Volunteers will need to walk or drive the route looking for bags marked Enviro Club
There are 17 routes and 2 people are needed for each
After the cans are collected bring them to the Kroger on Long Lake and Dequindre

Charity Week Packets

Students who raise $30 for their packet will earn 3 points

Orchestra Performance at Athens Sunday February 1st


There is a Detroit Michigan Youth Symphony performance at Athens on Sunday
Volunteers are needed to work concessions and also to set up the stage
A chairperson is also needed for each shift
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society T-Shirt Designs
We will be accepting designs for a LLS t-shirt for the next month
The design must have the LLS logo on it
Each design is worth 0.5 points
Without Borders Program
We are assisting the med club with collecting supplies to donate to a medical clinic in the Dominican
Republic
Members can donate toothbrushes, bars of soap, toothpaste, feminine products (pads specifically),
school supplies, etc. We can also donate over the counter meds such as advil, ibuprofen, Benadryl,
cough, syrup, etc.
Every 3 items will count as 1 point.

Wass Elementary gets volunteers for their various events through this website
Currently they are in need of volunteers for their Bingo Night on February 26th as well as other events
If you sign up for an event please email us with your event details (date, time, event) so we can update
your points
Hill Elementary Tutoring Most Wednesdays 3:30-4:30
Project Lead will be providing volunteers for the Hill Elementary Homework club on most Wednesdays
after school for the entire school year
3 tutors are needed for each session
Please be sure to arrive on time and also check in at the main office when you arrive at Hill Elementary
