On Tuesday, February 10, 2015, Marcus Mallett was detained by the St. Joseph Sheriff
Department in Tensas Parish, Louisiana pursuant a traffic stop. While conducting their
investigation it was learned that Mallett was a wanted subject from Jackson Police Department
and had active warrants for his arrest for the charges of Murder and Aggravated Assault. Mallett
was arrested by the St. Joseph Sheriff Department on charges of Possession of Cocaine and
Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, not related to the charges here. He has booked into
jail and is currently being held awaiting extradition proceedings to be transported back to
Jackson, MS once the charges in St. Joseph, LA are settled.
